CIPD Level 3 Course Details
The CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice is ideal if you are looking to gain a comprehensive blend of practical (HR, L&D and OD) skills in people practice. This qualification is the equivalent to an A-level and will provide you with an internationally recognised CIPD qualification as well as the knowledge needed to gain your CIPD Foundation Membership.
On successful completion of your CIPD Level 3 qualification you will be equipped with practical and theoretical skills across the core functions of people practice.
These courses don’t assume any prior knowledge but will teach you valuable skills and will give you a practical overview of the range of responsibilities involved in a generalist human resource, learning and development or organisational development administrator or assistant level role.
For the CIPD Level 3 Foundation course there are no formal entry requirements that need to be satisfied in order for you to enrol.
If English is your second language, we recommend that you have achieved one of the following (or an equivalent):
IELTS: 5.5 overall score with a minimum of 5.5 in each category
TOEFL: 71 overall score with a minimum of 17 in each category
Cambridge: Grade C or above
However, this is not mandatory and we are happy to review your case on an individual basis.
You will be expected to complete a written assignment, up to 4,000 words, at the end of each module that you study, allowing you to demonstrate your newly acquired knowledge and skills, which you have mastered during the modules.
Your assignments will then be be submitted online and marked by our assessors, while moderated by CIPD.
Once you have successfully passed all your assignments, you will then be awarded your new CIPD qualification, while also enabling you to progress to the next level and begin your Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management or Level 5 Associate Diploma in Organisational Learning & Development.

This module focuses on helping you understand the impact of external influences, while exploring how the digital and commercial environment shapes businesses and the culture within which they operate.
Through this module, you will also analyse the importance of people’s behaviour on organisational culture and its ability to manage change effectively.
Through this module, you will learn how people professionals are required to make straightforward and complex choices as part of their jobs. It focuses on how utilising a broad range of analytics and evidence are essential in delivering good working practices and pragmatic decisions to create value.
Through this module you will be introduced to the core behaviours for people professionals, with a focus on the importance of ethical practice in an effort to create value. The module examines how certain ways of thinking and behaviours should be universally consistent, to promote a sense of wellbeing and inclusivity at work.
In the final module of this qualification, you will learn how to apply the fundamentals of people practice, ranging from the employee lifecycle to policies, regulation and law. You will also explore a range of specialist subjects including recruitment, talent management, reward and learning & development, which are all essential for a successful career in people practice.

Yes, you are required to be a CIPD member for the duration of your CIPD studies.
Unless you are an active CIPD member, we cannot submit your assignments for moderation, provide you with assignment grades, or award you with your qualification. Therefore, you must be registered before you submit your first assignment.
We will provide you with full details on how to join with a Student Membership, following your enrolment. You will then need to pay an annual Student Membership fee, for which our CIPD Advisors will give you the most up-to-date costs.
If you are planning to fund the course yourself, our flexible 0% payment plans allow you to spread the cost with our interest-free* monthly payments options, or additionally pay for the qualification in full during the enrolment process.
